Source : ANSES, table Ciqual 2025 (mise à jour du 19/11/2025), record 17440, published by ANSES as « Huile de tournesol ». DOI : 10.57745/RDMHWY. Data made available under the Open Licence 2.0. ANSES does not endorse or review Radish. Method and sources.
The Ciqual table is published by ANSES and describes the French food supply: it pools laboratory analyses, manufacturer submissions and recipe calculations. Radish copies record 17440, published by ANSES as “Huile de tournesol”, as it stands; it does not recompute it.
For fats and oils, what separates two records is almost never energy — an oil is fat and nothing else — but the split between saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, of which this table only shows the saturated line.
Of the 17 lines above, 10 carry a number. A cell without a number is not a zero: the source does not publish the amount, or it falls below the measurement threshold.
On 7 lines, the source publishes a threshold marker rather than a number: magnesium “< 0,05”, potassium “< 0,3”, calcium “< 0,2”, iron “< 0,05”, zinc “< 0,05”, carbohydrate “traces” and vitamin d “< 0,25”. One convention applies here and only one: that marker is reproduced word for word in the nutrient’s cell, and no number is invented in its place.
Sunflower oil is scored on the scale for fats, oils, nuts and seeds, one of the three used by the revised algorithm (Nutri-Score scientific committee, 2022–2023; adopted in France by the order of 14 March 2025), applied to the figures shown above.
Unfavourable points (4)
Favourable points (0)
4 − 0 = 4 points, class C. The heaviest single item here is energy from saturated fat, at 3 of the 4 unfavourable points. The letter applies to this table record, not to a branded product.

Radish is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Santé publique France: this letter is recomputed by Radish from the table record. During the transition period provided for by the regulations, a package may still carry a letter from the previous algorithm, and therefore a different one.
Radish holds 258 fats & oils sourced from an institutional table; this record is the 218th energy value in ascending order out of 258. Of the 275 fats & oils in the database, 258 come from an institutional table and are the only ones counted in these medians. Per 100 g:
These medians pool all the sourced fats & oils in the database, plain and prepared alike. This position and these medians describe the Radish database, not the quality of a food: they say neither that it should be eaten nor that it should be avoided.
Sunflower oil appears in 53 of the 937 recipes bundled with the app, among them South African koeksisters (twisted syrup doughnuts), Grilled barramundi with lemon herb butter, Bannock (First Nations-Canadian fried bread), BeaverTails (stretched fried dough with cinnamon sugar), Calgary-style ginger beef (crispy beef in ginger sauce), Newfoundland fish cakes (salt cod and potato), Caribbean chicken colombo (Creole curry with vegetables) and Salt cod accras (Caribbean fritters).
Most frequent companions in those recipes: Onion · Wheat flour · Tomato · Garlic · Sugar · Cod.
Those recipe figures are estimated from their ingredients, are labelled as such in the app, and are not used on this page.
