Radish free vs Premium: what actually changes

In short

The diary, barcode scanning, Nutri-Score, macros, micronutrients, recipes and the full JSON backup are free, with no limit, for good. Two paid options sit on top: Premium, a subscription that adds included AI, long-term trends and CSV export; and Lifetime, a one-time payment where AI runs on your own API key (BYOK) instead of being included. The choice is made inside the app, never on this site.

The core of Radish — diary, macros, micronutrients — stays free, today and in two years.

"Free" on a store listing never tells you what stays free once you've installed the app. With Radish, the answer is written plainly: what's free stays free with no time limit and no meal cap, and what's paid never touches basic counting. Here's exactly what each tier changes, feature by feature.

What's free, with no limit at all

The core of the app doesn't depend on any paid tier. No 7-day trial that expires, no meal counter that locks up, no feature that disappears after the first week:

All of it with no account, no ads, and no card details required. The full breakdown lives on our FAQ page, under "What's free, what isn't".

Premium: a subscription, for included AI and trends

Premium is a subscription — Radish never presents it any other way. It adds three things on top of the free core:

One thing not to confuse: CSV export is paid, but getting your data out is never paid. The full JSON backup stays free and re-importable into the app — the subscription sells spreadsheet convenience, never the ability to take back what's yours.

Lifetime: a one-time payment, BYOK AI

Lifetime works differently: it's a one-time payment, not a recurring subscription. In exchange, AI isn't included in the price — it runs on your own API key (BYOK, "bring your own key") that you configure in settings. With no key set, Lifetime works normally, just without AI.

Lifetime also unlocks, as a one-time purchase:

In short: Premium rents ready-to-use AI month after month; Lifetime sells you the rest of the advanced features once, and lets you plug in your own AI if you want. The two aren't competing for the same use case — it's a choice between "I pay so I don't have to manage it" and "I pay once and manage my own key".

Why no price is listed here

You won't find a euro or dollar figure in this article, and that's intentional: the App Store and Google Play apply different price grids by store and by country, and those prices can change without this site updating at the same instant. A number written here would go stale faster than we could fix it. The exact price, in your currency, shows directly inside the app before any purchase — that's the one source that can't go out of date.

Frequently asked questions

Is Radish really free?

Yes for the core of the app: the food diary, barcode scanning, the Nutri-Score, macros, micronutrients, recipes, the hand-built weekly plan and step data pulled from Apple Health or Health Connect, with no cap on meals, no advertising, no account and no card details to enter. Two paid options exist: a Premium subscription, which adds included AI, long-term trends and CSV export of the diary; and a one-off Lifetime purchase, where AI runs on your own API key (BYOK) rather than being included. Without a key, Lifetime works without AI. The full JSON backup of your data, re-importable into the app, stays free: only the convenience of a spreadsheet is paid for, never the way out.

What's the difference between Premium and Lifetime?

Premium is a subscription that includes ready-to-use AI, long-term trends and CSV export. Lifetime is a one-time payment: AI runs on your own API key instead of being included, but you also unlock multiple profiles, body measurements, the diet and allergy filter, and automatic weekly generation.

What happens if I don't set an API key with Lifetime?

Lifetime works normally, just without the AI-related features. Nothing else is blocked.

Is the price the same on iPhone and Android?

No, the App Store and Google Play price grids are separate and also vary by country. The exact price shows inside the app before any purchase.

Can I use Radish without ever paying?

Yes. The diary, scanning, Nutri-Score, macros, micronutrients, recipes and full data backup stay free with no end date.

No trap, no counter that locks up after a week: the core of Radish stays free for as long as you use it. nutri-track.fr sends you to the right store.
